CANUS Plastics & Plas-Tech Fabrications Combine Forces in Ottawa / Capital Region
In 2016 Carolyn & Mark Perry (owners of Plas-Tech Fabrications) purchased Canus Plastics Inc. Since then both companies have served the market as independent suppliers with each having their own pricing, services and staff. This news post is to serve as an outline of our upcoming plans regarding our two companies and their continued tradition of serving the Ottawa region over a combined 95 years.
January 1 2020:
We will be amalgamating both companies under the Canus Plastics Inc. banner. We chose this route as Canus is older and more widely recognized by a larger customer base. We will continue to operate the trade name of Plas-Tech Fabrications during a transition period for those clients that have established logistics and accounting mechanisms with us. Both companies will generally operate daily as they do now and at the same locations.
May 2020
Plas-Tech Fabrications will move from 128 Walgreen Road in Stittsville to our new Ottawa location at 2684 Fenton Road (at Leitrim & Albion) and operate as Canus Plastics Inc. This newly upgraded 12,000 SF facility will give us room to grow and improve our operations and logistics. In addition to more products we will be adding 5-axis CNC machining and expanding our vacuum forming capabilities.
June 2020
Canus Plastics will move from 3030 Conroy Road to join the rest of our operations at 2684 Fenton Road as well. Operations at Conroy Road will stop by May 31 2020. At this point all operations will be under one roof at the new location.
We trust that this busy year will see Canus Plastics come out stronger and better than ever as this merger makes us the largest and most capable plastics provider between Toronto and Montreal. All of this is possible because of our very loyal customer base and we make these improvements to serve you better. With its new showroom, professional meeting rooms and improved service structure we are confident that everyone will enjoy our new look and our new way of doing things.
