CANUS of Ottawa-Gatineau deploys a wide range of manufacturing technologies in order to provide the full range of prototyping, fabrication and manufacturing services needed by our many customers today. We have mastered the balance of allowing personal artisanship to come through by way of using the manual processes often needed for models and prototypes, all while scaling to the latest CNC technologies needed to achieve full scale low cost production-to-market. Not only do we have these disparate technologies under one roof, but we cross-train our technicians in both arenas as we believe this results in highly superior and creative, production-ready designs.
In addition to manufacturing technologies, we are currently expanding our quality capabilities by adding CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) technology to our facility. This will permit us to certify components in-house to satisfy customer inspection and certification requirements and provide accurate and full feedback to all of our machining and forming processes. Looking to the medium-term future this technology will form the foundation of our ongoing ISO 9001: 2008 program development.
