CANUS is well-known and respected in Ottawa, Gatineau, and the Eastern Ontario Economic Region as a great company to do business with, and we are always striving to protect and expand upon our valued relationships wherever they may take us. Our formal and informal partnerships include customers, plastics suppliers, associations, educational and government institutions and even competitors. Regardless of the partner and relationship, we aim to share common goals and values while to working together to help each organization as well as our communities, the environment and the world in general.
We invite partnerships of all types and are currently actively seeking partners in the following areas:
Inventors and Innovators with Patentable / Licensing Projects
We specialize in taking new ideas and innovations from concept through prototyping and on to high volume manufacturing. While many companies shy away from these ideas, we welcome them as we never know where it may take us. There are many business models and technical approaches to choose from and we use a disciplined but creative process to ensure each party continues to benefit fairly as a project moves forward.
Technical Partners
We are proud of our own expertise and are willing to share our plastics knowledge with other similar companies that have expertise in areas complementing our own. This would include other plastics manufacturers and research companies that simply choose to focus on other technologies and market segments.
Bioplastics Companies
We are actively seeking companies that specialize in the research of and supply of bioplastics and biodegradable plastics. While these technologies are relatively new to Canada, our customers look to us to help provide solutions in this new and exciting domain.
Business Project Partners
This would include any business that has a larger scale project that needs plastic fabrication and manufacturing support. It may also include similar companies in other regions that wish to license our designs to manufacture products in their own local markets.
Metal Machining Suppliers
We often outsource elements of our projects that require metal machining and processing. We give preference to those suppliers willing to work with us by outsourcing their plastics machining to us in exchange. This allows us to each focus on our own areas of expertise while reducing technical risks.
