Engraving

Engraving involves applying a design to a surface by etching grooves into it.  We engrave many materials from acrylic to brass and aluminum. The most common is using gravolpy, a two part material of different colours, and engraving through one colour to reveal the other. This is used for name plates, lamacoids, and signs seen all over offices and buildings.

We are able to produce intricate and complex designs. Our engraving tools allow us to work on a variety of mediums. Many people assume that modern-day engraving is performed using lasers or other “space age” tools. However, this technology is still under development and we continue to use mechanical engraving machines to ensure the best possible results. This does not mean that we use chisels to painfully etch out designs, rather these machines use computer technology to quickly and precisely engrave your exact design.
