Nylon is a generic name for a family of synthetic thermoplastic polymers that can be melt-processed into fibers, films and shapes via extrusion and injection moulding. It can be mixed with a wide variety of additives to give it a very wide range of properties. This results in standard nylons such as Nylon 66, Nylon 6 and Nylon 510.

While Nylon finds wide usage worldwide in garments and fabrics, for other applications using shapes and solids it does tend to be a specific application. We have supplied customers with machine and equipment parts such as gears, wheels, guides and blocks. Because of its complex nature and fiber-like structure at times, Nylon tends to be very frustrating to work with for companies used to dealing with metals, and so they often turn to CANUS Plastics for help in this particular arena.
